The 21.1km route starts with the 5km group. You’ll run from 244 Glen Eira Rd and travel 1.4km East along Glen Eira Rd. You will then turn left onto Hawthorn Rd and run a further 1.1km along side Caulfield Park and turn right onto the running track on Inkerman St. You will then follow the Caulfield Park running track, looping around for 2km until you finish at the corner of Balaclava Rd and Hawthorn Rd. From here you will diverge from the 5km runners and head all the way down Balaclava Rd/Carlisle St for 4km until you hit the Carlisle St and Barkley St junction. For the next 2km you follow The Esplanade around onto Fitzroy St and then turn left into Lakeside drive. After 500m down Lakeside Drive, you’ll run a 5km anticlockwise lap of Albert Park Lake, then back up Lakeside Drive, cross over Fitzroy St and head up Princes St hill to the junction of Barkley St and Alma Rd. From here it is 2.5km straight, then turn right onto Orrong Rd. From here it is the final 1.7km downhill all the way back to Glen Eira Rd and a final left turn to get you back to the Sports Performance centre.
Please note that this run will be completed on open and public roads with no road closures. It is expected that every individual will comply with all road safety rules and follow all light signals and signage at all times. You must sign into and out of the run at the Sports Performance centre and if, for whatever reason, you are unable to complete your run, you must make contact with a coach and let them know your whereabouts and that you are signing out via the phone call.
